Travel Information Centres

 

Overview

Visitors to Colombo can obtain travel information from the two main travel information centres set up by the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA). The centres are located conveniently in Colombo and at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA).


The Colombo and BIA information centres are open 24 hours a day.


The centres can assist tourist on all aspects of their stay in the island. Upon visiting the centres travelers to the country can obtain information regarding places of interest and tours regarding various cities of the Island including ticketing information of tourist sites as well as other important details. The centres are also able to provide travelers with information on suitable accommodation options available.

Visitors to the centre can also obtain leaflets and travel books. These are provided free of charge by the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority.

A note to travelers – The officers operating the centres are only primarily conversant in English, Sinhalese and Tamil.
